All our seeds are organically grown and always have been. Indeed I have been a strong advocate of organic growing methods for 30 years and I've written half a dozen books on organic gardening and farming. I decided to drop the certification process years ago when it became too tedious a task for me to keep up with the paperwork. I believe that it is the non-organic growers that should be certified so that the poisons they use are much more strictly controlled than they are now.
Most of the seeds we list as certified organic are grown by Stowel Lake Farm here on Salt Spring Island. They have been growing seeds for me for about 2 decades. New for 2017 are seeds from Amara Farm in Courtenay.
