Ancient Himalayan landrace variety. Collected in 1924 by an American visiting Tibet. Deep brown/purple plump kernels have easily threshed hulls. Excellent taste, texture and nutrition. High yielding 3-4 foot plants with wide leaves. Extremely vigorous. Can be spring or fall sown.
