(C. maxima) Classic Japanese squash bred to be smaller than typical kabocha. Medium vines produce 4-5 dark green, 3-4 pound round fruits. Sweet, rich and very delicious dark orange flesh. Makes the best pumpkin pies. Stores until February/March. 95 days.
