Collection: Cucumber Seeds (Cucumis sativus)
Cucumbers are native to India and western Asia, where they have been cultivated for over 3000 years. They are a celebrated refreshing salad and sandwich vegetable that are high in magnesium, phosphorous, vitamin A and C.
We have had best results waiting until early June to start our Cucumbers indoors in pots. This way, we are not faced with transplanting them out into cool soil. Many gardeners grow their Cucumbers in greenhouses. They also can be direct sown outdoors when the weather is reliably warm. Final spacing between plants should be a foot or two apart. If transplanting, be careful to disturb the roots as little as possible. Cucumbers like a rich moist soil.
Keep picking to encourage more Cucumbers to form.
Packets contain a minimum of 15 seeds.
