Collection: Bush Pea Seeds (Pisum sativum)
Some Bush Peas are for shelling and some are edible pods. Some varieties can be helped with a few stakes here and there but mostly the plants hold each other up. In a month or so, you won't see the ground anymore-hence their reputation as a great ground cover. The seeds of all our varieties can be used in this way, suppressing weeds, conditioning the soil and adding nitrogen.
Sow seeds directly in the ground early in spring and give them a few inches apart. Plant in blocks if possible so the plants can be self supporting.
Save some of your harvest for next year's planting.
Packets contain 50-70 seeds.
