This low-growing flower is a delight to have in the garden. Its dainty flowers express the classic daisy shape, with delicate pastel petals radiating from a deep coloured center. Though these plants are shorter in height, they fill out beautifully, creating bright masses of flowers in orange and yellow hues wherever they are placed. Excellent for containers and borders.
Very easy to grow, African Daisies tolerate heat and require little watering. Grown often as a half-hardy perennial in South Africa, where it is native too; here in Canada, it is generally grown as an annual plant.
Start these plants indoors about 8 weeks before the last frost, then transplant them into the garden when the soil temperatures have risen.
