Orpine (Hylotelephium telephium syn. Sedum telephium)


Perennial, great for rock gardens and dry areas. Fleshy bluish green leaves with hints of burgundy. Deep red stems reach up to 3 feet tall with clusters of starry, showy pale-pink to crimson flowers from July to August, the seeds ripening from August to September. Popular remedy for diarrhoea, piles, burns, boils, stimulating the kidneys and has a reputation as an anti-cancer herb.
