Collection: Climbing Pea Seeds (Pisum sativum)
Most gardeners know that some of the best shelling and edible pod peas are the climbing ones but few know about climbers that produce great dry peas. Salt Spring Seeds offers a lot of those! We think these varieties are undervalued and that more people should be growing them to use year round in rich and satisfying soups and stews.
Peas thrive in areas with extended springs and can be grown in shady locations where summers are hot. Best to direct sow them a few inches apart as soon as you can work the soil. If it's not excessively hot, a mid-July sowing will probably get you an additional harvest in late September.
It's very easy to save some of your harvest for future plantings
Packets contain 50-70 seeds.
