B. napus. Easy to grow winter time stable that is delicious boiled and mashed with a little butter or olive oil and salt. This heirloom variety from Lithuania has an unusual light green top. Cylindrical roots with light yellow flesh. Start in flats late May-June and transplant when a few inches high. Harvest late fall or into winter and store in a cool moist place.
