Sweet Annie (Artemesia annua)
Sweet Annie is a smooth, sweetly aromatic, bushy annual from 2 to 9 feet tall. The leaves are broadly oval to lance-shaped in general outline and up to 4 inches long. The flowers are in a loose, broad panicle. The individual, tiny, inconspicuous, greenish-yellow flowerheads are round and somewhat nodding. Great for dried flower arrangements. Potpourri fixative. Has emerged as the most promising new treatment for malaria in over 300 years. Called Qing-hao in traditional Chinese medicine.
