Collection: Leek Seeds (Allium porrum)
Originating from the Mediterranean, Leeks have been popular since Roman times. They have a mild, sweet onion taste and can be used raw in salads, or cooked in soups and stews.
They need to be started early because they have a long growing season to reach maturity in October or November. So starting them indoors, 8-10 weeks before the last frost is recommended. Final spacing should be about 6 inches apart. To harvest larger and longer leeks, hill up or plant them in a 6 inch deep furrow and fill it in as the leeks grow.
Packets contain 100 or more seeds.
