The Community Seed Kit was a total success last year, and we decided to bring it back for this 2026 season!

Everyone is talking about the importance of food security and resiliency these days. This kit can help provide the protein, carbohydrates, vitamins and minerals needed to sustain you and your community. The kit includes one packet of each of the following:

  1. Amaranth Mix
  2. Quinoa Pink Passion
  3. Ethiopian Barley
  4. Provider Bush Snap Bean
  5. Ruckle Bush Bean
  6. Principe Borghese Tomato
  7. Speckled Roman Paste Tomato
  8. 5 Kale Mix
  9. Margaret McKee's Baking Pea
  10. Hokkaido Squash
  11. Berlicummer Carrot
  12. Early Wonder Tall Top Beet

Additionally, we also include a free copy of "Changing the Climate with the Seeds We Sow"! Written by our favourite seed guy, Dan, this book explores various crops, their nutritional value and their importance in our community’s food systems. It looks at how we, as farmers, gardeners and conscientious folks, can navigate the rapidly changing climate of the Earth and gently lead the food system in a positive direction through the very seeds we sow.

Our wish for this kit is to provide access to nutritious food for everybody and, in doing so, offer a sense of empowerment to communities.

Happy growing!
