Extra large pods to about 5 inches long and 2 inches wide. Crisp and juicy pods with great pea flavour. Climbs to seven feet and more with prolific production of about 20 pounds per hundred feet. Pink and purple flowers. Very pretty seeds with tints of blue, green, mauve and pink. Very bug resistant. Dried peas make excellent soup. Old Japanese heirloom from Emmy Boorsbaum.
